Install GWT V2 in about two minutes.
Unzip it, put it in a folder you own, open it once past the system prompt, and paste your access token. Pick your system to jump straight to its steps.
Before you start
Requirements
Apple Silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 26 (Tahoe) or newer. Intel Macs and older macOS versions can't open this build.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with graphics drivers that support OpenGL 3.
Shown after checkout and emailed to you. Get access if you don't have one yet.
macOS
Install on macOS
The download is a zip that holds one app, GWT V2.app.
-
Download the macOS zip
Get it from the download page. Safari usually unzips it for you; otherwise double-click the zip in Downloads.
-
Move GWT V2 to Applications
Drag GWT V2 into your Applications folder. This matters: macOS runs apps opened straight from Downloads from a read-only location, and GWT V2 can only update itself from a folder it can write to. If you skip this, the app will say “Move GWT V2 to Applications to enable updates”.
-
Open it the first time
Double-click GWT V2 in Applications. macOS says it can't verify the developer, because the app isn't signed with an Apple Developer ID yet. Click Done, then open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click “Open Anyway” next to the message about GWT V2. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
If your Mac offers it, right-clicking the app and choosing “Open”, then “Open” again, does the same thing.
-
That's it
From now on GWT V2 opens like any other app, and updates install without another prompt. Continue with first launch.
Advanced: clear the quarantine flag in Terminal
If macOS says the app "is damaged and can't be opened", the download's quarantine flag is the cause, not the app. After checking the checksum, run this once and open the app again:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/GWT V2.app"
Windows
Install on Windows
The download is a zip with gwt.exe and libmpv-2.dll. Nothing is installed system-wide.
-
Download the Windows zip
Get it from the download page.
-
Extract it to a folder you own
Right-click the zip, choose “Extract All”, and pick a folder such as Documents\GWT V2. Avoid Program Files: a standard Windows account can't write there, so updates couldn't install. Keep gwt.exe in its own folder with the files that came with it.
-
Open gwt.exe
The first time, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”, because the app isn't signed with a Windows code-signing certificate yet. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. You only do this once.
-
Optional: add a shortcut
Right-click gwt.exe and choose “Pin to Start”, or Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). Then continue with first launch.
Graphics: GWT V2 draws with OpenGL 3 at up to 60 frames a second. If the window stays black or closes straight away, install the latest driver from your graphics card or PC maker. Remote desktop sessions and some virtual machines don't provide OpenGL 3.
First launch
Sign in with your token
-
Leave the server as it is
The Server field is already set to https://gwtrade.app.
-
Paste your access token
Copy it from the checkout page or from the email titled “Your gwtrade.app access token”. Spaces, dashes and letter case don't matter.
-
Tick Remember on this computer
The app then signs in by itself next time. Leave it unticked on a shared computer.
-
Click Connect
Your desk opens. Press Cmd/Ctrl+K for the command palette, or open the help in any module to learn it.
Just bought? A new token can take up to a minute to activate. If the app says “Invalid token.”, wait a moment and click Connect again.
Updates
It keeps itself up to date
You install GWT V2 once. New versions arrive inside the app.
- The app checks when it starts, after you sign in, every three hours, and as soon as we publish a release.
- A slim banner offers “What's new”, “Update & restart” and “Later”.
- Update & restart downloads the new version, verifies it, installs it and reopens the app. If anything fails, your current version keeps running and you can retry or download manually.
- You can check any time in Settings > About GWT V2.
- Occasionally a release is required, for example after a change on the server. The app then asks you to update before you continue.
Updates need the app in a folder it can write to: Applications on a Mac, your own folder on Windows.
Straight answers
Why the app isn't code-signed yet
macOS and Windows trust apps signed with an Apple Developer ID or a Windows code-signing certificate. GWT V2 doesn't have those yet; getting them is on our list. Until then, both systems ask you to confirm the first launch.
Not being signed by the operating system doesn't mean the app is unchecked. It means macOS and Windows can't vouch for the publisher on their own, so we give you the tools to check it yourself:
Checksums for every file
The download page lists the SHA-256 of each zip. Run one command and compare: a match means you have exactly the file we built. How to verify.
Updates signed with our key
Each release is described by a manifest signed with our own private key. The app checks that signature against the public key built into it, then the file's size and checksum, before it installs anything.
One source
Download GWT V2 only from gwtrade.app over HTTPS. We never send the app by email or direct message.
Your settings stay on
You confirm this one app once. You never need to turn off Gatekeeper or SmartScreen for your whole computer.
Troubleshooting
If something doesn't work
"Your access has expired. Please contact the admin to renew payment."
Your subscription has ended or a renewal payment didn't go through. Start a new plan, or write to info@glenworld.io if you think this is a mistake or want to fix a failed payment.
"Invalid token."
If you bought a moment ago, wait about a minute and click Connect again. Otherwise copy the token again from your email; spaces, dashes and letter case are ignored. After many wrong attempts the app says “Too many failed attempts. Try again shortly.” Give it a minute.
macOS: "GWT V2 is damaged and can't be opened"
This is the download's quarantine flag on an app that isn't signed with an Apple Developer ID. Check the checksum, then use “Open Anyway” in Privacy & Security or the Terminal command above.
macOS: the app won't open at all
This build needs an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 26 or newer. Check Apple menu > About This Mac: the chip should read Apple M1 or later and macOS should be 26 or newer.
"Move GWT V2 to Applications to enable updates"
Quit the app, drag it from Downloads into Applications and open it from there. On Windows, move the whole folder out of Program Files into one you own, such as Documents\GWT V2.
Windows: black window, or the app closes straight away
GWT V2 needs OpenGL 3. Install the latest graphics driver from your graphics card or PC maker and restart. Remote desktop sessions and some virtual machines don't support it.
Connected, but no live data
The app needs outbound HTTPS (port 443) to gwtrade.app, including WebSocket connections. Allow GWT V2 in your firewall or security software, and check that a company proxy or VPN isn't blocking WebSockets.
Start again with fresh settings
Your sign-in and settings live in a .gwt folder in your home folder (~/.gwt on a Mac, %USERPROFILE%\.gwt on Windows). Quit the app and rename that folder to start from scratch.

Linux
Linux is coming soon
A Linux build is on the way. When it's ready it will appear on the download page with its checksum, and the same access token will work on it. We'll announce it in Discord.
Uninstall
Remove GWT V2
On a Mac, drag GWT V2 from Applications to the Trash. On Windows, delete the folder you extracted. To remove your saved sign-in and settings as well, delete the .gwt folder in your home folder. Uninstalling doesn't cancel your subscription.
Ready when the open is
Put gamma, flow and liquidity on one screen.
Get your access token, download the app for your Mac or PC and paste the token at sign-in. It takes about two minutes.
